The Scrambled Continents map pack for Civilization 5 has been released. It includes real geographic locations with special scripts that produce randomized interiors each time a new game begins. While geography stays constant, the inner part of the world changes each time you play, giving you many plausible worlds. Maps include: Africa, Eastern Asia, North and South America, Western Europe, the Middle East, a thawed Antarctica, new scripted maps for Small Continents and Oceania, plus one map including all of Earth’s continents. You can download it through Steam now for $4.99.

Brave New World is expected in North America on July 9 and elsewhere on July 12.

2K has released a new version of Civilization 5 containing the core game, the Gods & Kings expansion, and all DLC to date in one tidy bundle. The fairly hefty package will set you back $90 on Steam, according to the Australian storefront, but is valued at over $170. Pat’s been playing a lot of Civ 5 lately, and I know plenty of you lot have invested hundreds of hours in it, so if you’re keen to check out some multiplayer leave a comment and maybe you’ll find an ally – or foe.
