City Interactive has announced it has changed the name of its sci-fi, arcade-FPS Alien Fear – announced in 2012 – to Alien Rage. The game, which includes all sorts of weapons, firing modes, 21 enemy types and eight different bosses will be shown at E3 this year alongside its RPG Lords of the Fallen. Alien Rage will be available via digital distribution later this year for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. A teaser video is below.

Lords of the Fallen is the new RPG from Tomasz Gop, executive producer of the first two Witcher games while he was at CD Projekt RED. It’s heading to PS4, PC and Xbox 720 next year and German outfit Deck 13 is developing. It’s also meant to be hard, like Dark Souls.

A couple of new City Interactive job ads are looking for developers to work on something called Sniper 3 – presumably, the sequel to Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, which launched earlier this month. There’s no mention of next-gen hardware in the recruiting, which is a refreshing if surprising change.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 will release on Wii U, if a listing on the ESRB website is any indication. The CryEngine 3 developed game is set for a January release on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 already, and was originally slated for release in October. We’ll send Namco a mail and ask for more details.
