3DS XL Circle Pad Pro now available in the US
Nintendo of America has made the 3DS XL’s Circle Pad Pro accessory available on its online store, the very first time the over-sized peripheral has been officially offered for sale in North America. It’ll set you back $20, but what price accuracy in games that really work better with twin analog, like Monster Hunter and Resident Evil?
Thanks, GameInformer.

3DS XL Circle Pad Pro hits Japan in mid-November
The #DS XL version of the Circle Pad Pro – which adds a second analog stick to Nintendo’s latest portable – will began retailing in Japan on November 15. Siliconera spotted the date on Nintendo Japan’s website, where the peripheral is priced at ¥1,500. No word yet on western launch but with Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate debuting in early March, you can probably hazard a small wager on its eventual appearance.

Circle Pad Pro looks to be a GameStop exclusive in the US
Like Xenoblade Chronicles before it, it looks as though Nintendo’s optional 3DS accessory Circle Pad Pro will launch in the US as a GameStop exclusive. Launching in the country on February 7, the peripheral will run you $19.99 and works as an additional shoulder button attachment for games such as Resident Evil Revelations and METAL GEAR SOLID 3D Snake Eater. Mentioned as part of the Nintendo Release Schedule posted earlier this morning, we contacted GameStop to see if it would be exclusive, and our local shop said “yes”, but we’ve yet to hear back from Nintendo on the matter.

Report – 3DS Circle Pad Pro provides 480 hours of gameplay on one battery
A report over on Andriasang states that the Circle Pad Pro for 3DS will last for 480 hours of gameplay using just one AAA battery. Nice to know, since the battery is protected by a cover-plate that requires a screw driver to remove it. Still, that is a bit inconsequential, since the battery will last for 20 days, and that’s if you used the peripheral for 24-hours a day the entire time. The Circle Pad Pro and its nifty, extra thumbstick will release alongside Resident Evil: Revelations in Europe on January 27.
