Make someone miserable and earn good karma by throwing a dollar in the hat here.

They’ve been at it for close to two and a half days and are over half way through, with only 60 levels still unpaid for by generous (and possibly sadistic) observers. All funds accrued will be channeled into Child’s Play’s coffers.

Penny Arcade’s Child’s Play charity – which sees gamers of all walks of life and stations of play donate cash to sick children in hospitals – recently wrapped up its 08/09 campaign. The final tally? Excuse us for a moment as we shove aside a few words to make space for this gargantuan number.
This, of course, smashes Child’s Play’s 2007 record of $1.3 million. All to purchase games and toys for sick children. And people say gamers are a despicable lot.
