DigitalDNA has announced that CastleMiner Z has hit 1.5 million in sales on the Xbox Live Indie Games service, making it “one of the most successful indie titles of all time, let alone on the Xbox.” The figure is up from 1 million reported in September, and the firm said the original CastleMiner is “dangerously close” to 1 million in sales. Awesome news. Thanks, woe.

CastleMiner Z holds a couple of Xbox Live Indie Games records – it’s the fastest-selling release the service has ever hosted, and also the first to crack the big 1 million.

CastleMiner Z, the co-op survival horror shooter based in a world similar to Minecraft’s has just smashed 900,000, according to developer DigitalDNA Games. If confirmed, this would make it the fastest-selling Xbox Live Arcade Indie game to date.
