The Major tells us that we now have to wait a week for Twisted Pixel’s The Maw, but to tide us all over, there’s some Castle Crashers DLC called the ‘King Pack’ that will be available to download from XBLA today.
It will cost you 160 MS Points and according to the GamerscoreBlog the will present you with two new characters – Open Faced Grey Knight and The King – a new seal animal orb named Pelter, three new weapons and a King’s Heal potion that heals your entire party.

This is waiting. After claiming that XBLA title Castle Crashers would be patched up and good to go “as soon as possible” back in September, The Behemoth is finally nearing the end of its residence under the hood.
“We’re working with Microsoft to get the title update out as quickly as we can. Sadly, we can’t get into details about the certification process, but we’ve resolved the game’s issues with data loss and networking in addition to other bugs,” The Behemoth crew told Xbox 360 Fanboy.
“We can’t really comment on the release yet as we’re not allowed to talk about it because of Microsoft, but the update’s release is definitely reaching the end of the process.”
We never doubted you, The Behemoth. Not even for a month.

Speaking in this interview with Joystiq, Behemoth art director Dan Paladin has conceded that there are problems with daftly popular XBLA game Castle Crashers, but has assured that help is on the way.
“Yeah, there are certain network settings where, if you’re in a very specific network environment, it won’t work with another person’s connection and that’s what’s happening,” he said.
“But that’s something we’re already addressing by working with Microsoft to get a patch out as fast as possible.”
Lead programmer Tom Fulp also confirms there that DLC is on the way, but refuses to confirm what it is. Some people are just so fussy.

“The price for Castle Crashers will be 1,200 Microsoft points,” said developer Dan Paladin. “This month’s only online multiplayer XLA game launches on Wednesday, August 27th, 2008, so get ready to grab some friends and prepare to smash stuff!”
The pricing comes after Braid cost 1,200 Points, much to the ire of people who don’t like seeing things cost more than they used to. Plenty more through the link.
