DICE has confirmed it’s to re-open servers for Caspian Border for the PC version of the Battlefield 3 beta for this weekend ahead of the trial closing this weekend. The re-opening is so that, according to BF’s US community manager, DICE can be “stress testing our servers.” The 64-player map, which also has jets and vehicles – the whole shebang, previously opened up last week as part of a short trial on it. Caspian reopens later today.
BF3 releases on October 28 in Europe for PS3, 360 and PC.

We of course cherish and appreciate the time you have put into supplying is with good feedback. We will of course read it through and discuss it internally. Testing has now been completed and we are shutting down the Caspian Border servers.”
Back to Metro you go. The beta is ongoing on PS3, 360 and PC, with the full game releasing at the end of next month.

YouTube user jeffriseden was one of the lucky few who had the opportunity to try out Battlefield 3′s Caspian Border level in the closed PC beta yesterday, and was kind enough to video his experience and post it for the world to see. You can watch all 23 minutes of his time in the map below, where he takes a bit of time to not only show the battle bits, but the environment as well.
Access to the map was limited to say the least, so thanks to all who gave me the heads-up on this so everyone could have a look. The game’s now in open beta, and hits at the end of October.
