Destiny for Vita rumour debunked
According to IGN, there was a rumour going around that shared-worlds shooter Destiny was coming to Vita. Answering desperately curious queries, Bungie pointed out calmly that the only proof of the matter – a supposedly leaked bit of promo art – uses an outdated version of the developer’s logo, fairly conclusively marking it as a fake. Destiny has been confirmed for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Xbox 360, and other “next-gen platforms” presumably including what we’re now calling Xbox Infinity. The trademark which sparked the fake, Destiny of Spirits, remains unexplained.

Bungie files five Destiny related trademarks
Bungie has filed some interesting trademarks with the USPTO. Each were filed on March 11 and more likely than not pertain to Destiny in some way. The trademarks Cabal, Fallen, Glimmer, Hive and Vex fall under the umbrella for a variety of uses:game software, novels, costumes, TV, ringtones, and oddly enough, footwear. While Fallen has previously been used in promo material, it is also known that Cabal and Vex are enemies in Destiny. The shared-worlds shooter is due on current and next-generation consoles in early 2014. Thanks, Gamespot.

Destiny wallpapers show Titan riding a Pike and more
Bungie issued a gentle cough via its Facebook page, politely drawing attention to the wallpapers section of its Destiny website. The site has a number of lovely concept art images for your desktop-plastering pleasure, and while you’ve probably seen most of them, one was described as a “Titan riding a Pike”. So now you know what a Titan and a Pike are, sort of. The shared-worlds shooter is due on current and next-generation consoles – but probably not PC – in sometime in 2014, early enough to be considered the PlayStation 4′s launch window.
Thanks, StrategyInformer.
