SOE has announced it will be shutting down its free-to-play multiplayer FPS Bullet Run. In the game, players were pitted against each other in a reality TV show setting where performance is everything. In a statement on the game’s forum, the community manager said Acony Games and SOE have “mutually made the decision to discontinue development.” The game, its servers, and foums will shut down on March 8. Bullet Run, the free-to-play online shooter from SOE, has been handed some assets, which the game has then put out onto the interwebs for the masses to have a look at. In Bullet Run, players are pit against each other in a reality TV show setting where performance is everything – simply gaining the kill does not win your character fame. Featuring six Synth Arenas – from oilrigs to abandoned shanty towns – the game focuses on individual character and weapon advancement and progression. Sony Online Entertainment has announced Bullet Run, a brand new multiplayer shooter for PC featuring a premise where a reality TV show goes wrong. Think Battle Royale and possibly The Hunger Games. There’s a trailer below.
