Fantasy Life trademark filed in the US

20130403_fantasy_life

A western release of Level-5 and Brownie Brown’s unusual sim Fantasy Life seems more and more likely. In addition to a European trademark filed last month, Siliconera reports the developer has moved to secure a US one. Unfortunately, there’ve been no rumblings from any of the usual publishers, but perhaps a 3DS eShop release is possible. Fantasy Life released in Japan in December and sold out almost immediately; Level-5 is already planning sequels.

Fantasy Life is next RPG from Level 5 and Brownie Brown

fantasylife

Level-5 has announced a collaboration with Brownie Brown called Fantasy Life and features music by Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu.

Described as a “slow life RPG,” the DS title is set in the world of Fantazeal where the first signs of a prophesied destruction are happening. The focus of the game isn’t on combat, but all you seem to do, according to Andriadang, is “live life contained within the DS”.

There are 20 different “lives” to choose from, and whichever you choose affects how the game progresses and which “Life Quests” you must undertake daily.

Loads more information is through the link, but it definitely sounds like an interesting title.

It’s expected to be released sometime in 2010.

Professor Layton and the Devil’s Flute to have bonus game from Brownie Brown

diabolicalbox1

Level-5 has revealed during its Vision Conference that Professor Layton and the Devil’s Flute will contain a bonus game created by Brownie Brown called London Life.

The fourth game in the series is set to be released in Japan on November 26, and the extra bit of fun is more RPG based, and revolves around making people happy.

It was announced for the cell-phone download service ROID, but surely Level-5 will reveal soon that it’s for the DS version as well. Hopefully at least by the time it leaves Japan anyway.

The event was live blogged by both Andriasang and 1UP, and snapshots of the London Life content are posted over on Aussie Nintendo.

Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box landed on US shores yesterday.

Blue Dragon Plus English trailer is dramatic

bluedragonplus1b.jpg

After the break you can see what appears to be the first English Blue Dragon Plus trailer for Nintendo DS.

It’s all very serious business with the promise of cataclysmic consequences if you put a foot wrong.

The cut-scenes also look very impressive for a DS game.

AQ Interactive’s Blue Dragon Plus is due out next month in NA. No Euro date as yet.

Blue Dragon Plus DS official site and video released

The official site for Blue Dragon Plus DS has launched which contains a brand new gameplay video.

Very little is known as to what the game is about, in fact absolutely nothing whatsoever apart from that it’s developed by Feelplus and Brownie Brown and published by AQ Interactive in Japan.

Video looks good but still reveals next to nothing as to how it will play. More info as we get it.
