Bethesda: Brink PS3 unaffected by PSN blackout

Bethesda’s confirmed that it’ll still release the PS3 version of multiplayer-focused shooter Brink this Friday in the UK despite the ongoing crisis surrounding PSN. A rep for the publisher told EG: “We’re still going ahead with launch this week.” Bethesda US has told GiantBomb it’s also going ahead with its launch tomorrow. And there you have it.

Brink gets launch trailer, shoot fans hold breath

Bethesda’s put out what promises to be the final Brink trailer before the Splash Damage shooter releases in the US tomorrow. Europeans will get the game on Friday. The near-future team-based game has been delayed by a year, but there’s no doubting a debut on PC, PS3 and 360 this week. Check out Johnny’s just-published chat with studio head Paul Wedgwood here. Last Brink training video takes tour of the battlefield

Bethesda’s wrapping up its six-strong series of Brink training videos today with a look at the shooters battlefield furniture. The game’s reviews are hotly anticipated now, as Splash Damage is clearly aiming to make a significant game, packing it with offline, online, movement, co-op and mission features that set it well away from the traditional FPS.
