When it comes to Big Daddies, retro is in this year. Just look at all those tubes and bolts. It’s like something out of a futuristic utopian underwater society’s stone age.

But then, what else would you expect from the grandpappy of all Big Daddies? He may not be “hip” or “with it,” but he gets the job done. At least, we think he does. He’s pointing a giant drill at us, so we’re nothing but cheery compliments at the moment.

On WoWInsider. Probably the most shocking thing about this is the fact that Blizzard can keep Diablo III under wraps for four years but can’t do the same with a bit of WoW artwork. No matter. At least it shows the expansion’s properly on the way. Beta starts soon, so watch out for more from that.

On Joystiq. The EA horror ships for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on Hallowe’en. Ain’t she pretty?

A chap called Norman Gerlach, who works for PS3-Talk.de, has passed on an email from German press agency neu:kom which seems to confirm the legitimacy of the European MGS4 box art that popped up this week. The image was attached to the email.

As the note says, the Japanese and US box designs will be different. You can see what appears to be the American one on Amazon.com.

Apparently this is the final version of MGS4′s box art, but no one seems to know if it’s real or not. Apart from Konami Europe. And they’re in bed now until Monday. So you’ll just have to keep biting those nails until then.

Pinch of salt needed, but possible nonetheless. See here. Mario Kart Wii’s been doing the rounds a little recently, what with some debunked rumours on track details and such. Only Nintendo knows. Still, it’s nice to look.
