Wanna-be surgeons should head over to Steam and try their hand at Surgeon Simulator 2013. At present, the game is 30% off until April 22, so until then you can grab it for $6.99 instead of $9.99. Looking over the video for it, it appears to be a game in which you can torture patients at will – all in hilariously, diabolical ways of course. Since landing on Steam Greenlight, the game has been given more environments, and new operations. Check it out through the link and watch the video below.

Annual convention GameHorizon has signed up Bossa Studios, Epic Games, GameStick, Paradox Interactive and Ubisoft. GamesIndustry reports Ubisoft Reflections managing director Pauline Jacquey will give the opening keynote, and Paradox CEO Fredrik Wester will give a session on niche gaming. The event is sponsored by CCP and Epic Games among others; it takes place at The Sage in Newcastle on May 8 and 9, and many events will be livestreamed.

Thomas Was Alone is the brainchild of coder Mike Bithell, and thanks to its success he has left Bossa Studios to work solo.
