Activision has released a preview video for Vengeance, the third DLC Map Pack available for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Rumored earlier this week, the map pack includes four new multiplayer maps: Cove, Detour, Rush, and Uplink, a reimagining of the classic map Summit. Also included is the brand new Zombies adventure Buried, which features the new bonus Zombies weapon, the Ray Gun Mark II. Vengeance arrives first on Xbox Live July 2, with other platforms to follow.

Black Ops 2: Uprising is now available on PS3 in Europe. The content contains the maps Vertigo, Magma, Encore, and Studio along with the Mob of the Dead campaign. Hit up the trailer below for a refresher. Uprising will run you £11.59/€14.49 if you’re not a Season Pass holder.

Black Ops 2: Uprising has arrived on the XBL Marketplace. Time to head to Alcatraz and get your zombie shooting fix with Mob of the Dead. Those not into the whole shooting of the undead, can also play on the Magma, Encore, Vertigo, and Studio maps. Season Pass holders need not drop a thing, while others will need put down 1200 Microsoft Points. PC and PS3 users will get to participate in the shooting frenzy once the exclusivity period with Microsoft ends. Check availability for your area through here.

Activision has released the nine Personalization Packs for Black Ops 2 on PC and PS3. The packs contain various customization options, and were released for Xbox 360 earlier this month. Each set contains a weapon camo, three sight reticles, and a Calling Card. A video for it is below, and it’s the same one released earlier in the month, but watch it again anyway.

Activision is hosting a Double XP Weekend for Black Ops 2, to celebrate the impending release of the Uprising DLC Pack. It starts today and runs through Monday, April 15 until 10.00am PST. The Double XP weekend is for PC, PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360. The Uprising DLC launched on April 16 for Xbox 360, and once the exclusivity period ends, it will release on other formats.

Activision has released a new Black Ops 2 video for the Mob of the Dead scenario which takes place on Alcatraz. It comes with the Uprising DLC. The pack goes live on Xbox Live April 16.

Black Ops 2 has a new trailer showing off the “Uprising,” DLC Map Pack. It includes four new multiplayer maps – Magma, Encore, Vertigo, and Studio – which is a re-imagining of the map Firing Range. It also includes a new Zombies adventure, “Mob of the Dead” which takes place on Alcatraz. It also stars Chazz Palminteri, Joey Pantoliano, Michael Madsen, and Ray Liotta. It will be released on April 16 on Xbox Live, and once the exclusivity period ends, it will hit PC and PS3.

Activision has announced the Call of Duty Championship featuring a $1 million Black Ops 2 tournament, which will take place in Hollywood, CA April 5-7.

Twitch TV has announced Black Ops 2 players will be able to stream their multiplayer matches on the streaming service, starting today. The streams can be shared through Facebook and Twitter, and can be viewed through mobile and browsers through Call of Duty: Elite which allows the player card of the streamer to be viewed. Twitch is supported through PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 versions of the game, with the later being the first to get it. PC and PS3 will follow shortly while no mention was made of Wii U in the press release.

The Revolution DLC Map Pack for Black Ops 2 has a video available called The Replacer, starring actor Peter Stormare. Watch it below. Revolution includes new multiplayer maps, a new Zombies co-op map, a new Zombies game mode and a bonus multiplayer weapon. Revolution will arrive first on Xbox 360, next week – January 29. PC and PS3 will receive the DLC once the exclusivity period ends.

Black Ops 2 season pass holders on PC and PS3 can pick up the Nuketown Zombies map next week, Activision has announced. Released for Xbox 360 back in December, so if you want it, pick up the season pass which you can get details on through here.

A new banner image for the rumored Black Ops 2 DLC pack, Revolution, popped up and was quickly removed earlier today via the Call of Duty mobile site. However, as with all things accidental, someone took a screenshot of it first and sent it over to CharlieIntel. The banner posted on the mobile site stated a Revolution DLC Pack preview was “coming soon,” and seemed to confirm the rumored January 20 release date for the DLC on Xbox 360. We’ll ask Activision. NPD has shed some light on sales figures for November releases such as Black Ops 2, Assassin’s Creed 3, and Halo 4.

Black Ops 2 has a title update in the works which will include the reestablishment of Theatre Mode. Treyarch removed the feature after it was found it caused a Prestige glitch. Emblems was also deactivated, but the firm hasn’t said whether the it will return with the next title update or not. The update will also raise the score requirement for calling upon the lowest Scorestreak, UAVs, and the teams feels the current requirement for SMG penetration “is probably too high”. So, that will be looked into as well. The firm also released a troubleshooting guide for consoles which should help players experiencing lag during multiplayer. Thanks, CVG.

Black Ops 2 was the most played game on Xbox Live for the week of November 19, according to Major Nelson’s figures. Halo 4 came in second, with Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, Modern Warfare 3 and FIFA 13 rounding out the top five, respectively. Full chart listings are below.

A new Black Ops 2 video has been released, featuring a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the live-action “Surprise” trailer directed by Guy Ritchie. The trailer features an all-star cast which includes Robert Downey Jr., Justine “iJustine” Ezarik, and FPS Russia. Black Ops 2 is available at retail now.

Black Ops 2 players which are unable to redeem their PS3 codes for Nuketown 2025, Activision has provided a customer support link you can visit. Once there, fill out the online form to receive a replacement code which will allows you to immediately download the Nuketown 2025 map. This way, you won’t miss out on this weekend’s Double XP event. Yesterday, a number of Black Ops 2 players converges on the PS forums, stating their standard, Hardened and Care Package editions of the game were failing to download the codes. Hopefully, the link above will remedy the matter for all.
