Activision has released a preview video for Vengeance, the third DLC Map Pack available for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Rumored earlier this week, the map pack includes four new multiplayer maps: Cove, Detour, Rush, and Uplink, a reimagining of the classic map Summit. Also included is the brand new Zombies adventure Buried, which features the new bonus Zombies weapon, the Ray Gun Mark II. Vengeance arrives first on Xbox Live July 2, with other platforms to follow.

Black Ops 2 players can earn double xp on weapon progression this weekend. The event starts today at 6pm GMT/10am PDT and runs through Monday until 6pm GMT/10am PDT on Monday. This corresponds with Uprising being available for PC and PS3. Go shoot something.

Major League Gaming’s Spring Season for Black Ops 2 is now in the second qualifying bracket with semifinals and finals airing tonight at 7pm ET. The winning team tonight will advance to the MLG Spring Championship from June 28-30 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA, where hundreds of teams will compete for $50,000 in prizes and a first place prize of $20,000. Competitor, VIP and spectator passes for Black Ops 2 are available now, and fans can purchase a spectator pass online for $35 to attend the entire weekend, or upgrade to a VIP pass. Black Ops 2: Uprising is now available on PS3 in Europe. The content contains the maps Vertigo, Magma, Encore, and Studio along with the Mob of the Dead campaign. Hit up the trailer below for a refresher. Uprising will run you £11.59/€14.49 if you’re not a Season Pass holder.

Black Ops 2: Uprising has arrived on the XBL Marketplace. Time to head to Alcatraz and get your zombie shooting fix with Mob of the Dead. Those not into the whole shooting of the undead, can also play on the Magma, Encore, Vertigo, and Studio maps. Season Pass holders need not drop a thing, while others will need put down 1200 Microsoft Points. PC and PS3 users will get to participate in the shooting frenzy once the exclusivity period with Microsoft ends. Check availability for your area through here.

Activision has released the nine Personalization Packs for Black Ops 2 on PC and PS3. The packs contain various customization options, and were released for Xbox 360 earlier this month. Each set contains a weapon camo, three sight reticles, and a Calling Card. A video for it is below, and it’s the same one released earlier in the month, but watch it again anyway.

Activision is hosting a Double XP Weekend for Black Ops 2, to celebrate the impending release of the Uprising DLC Pack. It starts today and runs through Monday, April 15 until 10.00am PST. The Double XP weekend is for PC, PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360. The Uprising DLC launched on April 16 for Xbox 360, and once the exclusivity period ends, it will release on other formats.

Activision has released a new Black Ops 2 video for the Mob of the Dead scenario which takes place on Alcatraz. It comes with the Uprising DLC. The pack goes live on Xbox Live April 16.

It also includes a new Zombies adventure, “Mob of the Dead” which takes place on Alcatraz. It also stars Chazz Palminteri, Joey Pantoliano, Michael Madsen, and Ray Liotta. It will be released on April 16 on Xbox Live, and once the exclusivity period ends, it will hit PC and PS3.

Black Ops 2 on PS3 will be able to pick up the Revolution DLC pack on February 28. The announcement was made on the PS Blog. Revolution contains four new multiplayer maps: Downhill, Hydro, Mirage and Grind along withe the Peacekeeper hybrid SMG-Assault Rifle. It also comes with a new Zombies Co-Op Map, Die Rise, along with the new Zombies game mode. PC players will also be able to download the DLC the same day as PS3 users.

Twitch TV has announced Black Ops 2 players will be able to stream their multiplayer matches on the streaming service, starting today. The streams can be shared through Facebook and Twitter, and can be viewed through mobile and browsers through Call of Duty: Elite which allows the player card of the streamer to be viewed. Twitch is supported through PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 versions of the game, with the later being the first to get it. PC and PS3 will follow shortly while no mention was made of Wii U in the press release.

Treyarch is aware of issues with the Black Ops 2 patch deployed for Wii U, which was brought the game up -to-date with the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. The issues, Treyarch said, are being addressed and the developer is working with Nintendo “on a resolution to this problem and hope to know more at some point tomorrow.” Some of the menu listings from Xbox 360′s Revolution DLC drop “are showing up in the game.” Treyarch noted that this is “not a confirmation of DLC for the Wii U, just a versioning problem that we are working to address.” So if you got your hope up, sorry.
