If you haven’t yet experienced the original BioShock and its solid if not quite as magical sequel, now is the time. If that doesn’t fill the hole left in your life by the ending of BioShock Infinite I am unsure what will. Probably nothing. There is only sorrow, forever.

The BioShock: Ultimate Rapture Edition is now available at retail in North America. The disc contains BioShock, BioShock 2 and the following add-on content: Museum of Orphaned Concepts, Plasmids Pack, Challenge Rooms Pack, Sinclair Solutions Tester, Rapture Metro, The Protector Trials, and Minerva’s Den. A collectible sticker pack from BioShock Infinite’s world is included as well. It will run you $29.99 and will also be made available though PSN with the usual, weekly update.

The BioShock: Ultimate Rapture Edition has been announced by 2K for PS3 and Xbox 360.

PlayStation Plus subscribers across Europe can look forward to starting 2013 with a host of free games as part of the Instant Game Collection incentive. BioShock 2, Mortal Kombat and Jet Set Radio HD on PS Vita lead the new year charge.

The next PlayStation Store update brings a free copy of BioShock 2 to all US PlayStation Plus subscribers. As detailed on the PlayStation Blog, members will also receive a 10% discount on the Rockstar Games Collection Edition 1, which bundles Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City, L.A. Noire, and Midnight Club: Los Angeles Complete Edition for the price of a new release, as well as 50% off both the PlayStation 3 and Vita versions of physics puzzler Puddle.

A listing for Bioshock Ultimate Rapture Edition cropped up on the British Board of Film Classification, before being removed, Eurogamer is reporting. The bundle includes both Bioshock and Bioshock 2, along with all previously released DLC and has been handed a mature, 18+ rating. There’s currently no word on platforms, release date or price but we’ve contacted publisher 2K for further details.
