XBLA size limit raised for Capcom downloadables
Capcom’s getting the 150Mb XBLA size limit raised for Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and Bionic Commando Rearmed, says this. Half the internet’s been twatting on about this all day, but, in a nutshell, the important bit is that they’re going to look nice. OK?

PS3 Bionic Commando: Rearmed will play wirelessly on PSP
According to this, the PS3 version os Bionic Commando: Rearmed will play on PSPs via the machine’s Remote Play feature.
In theory, this means you should be able to play the Capcom remake on your PSP anywhere you have a WiFi connection. Obviously, this is a unique feature to the Sony version of the game, which releases in May for PS3, 360 and PC.

GDC: Bionic Commando: Rearmed scaled back on Live limit
According to this, Bionic Commando: Rearmed producer Ben Judd has been telling people at GDC that the XBox 360 version of Bionic Commando: Rearmed won’t be as good looking as the PS3 version because of the 150Mb file-size limit placed on Xbox Live content.
Microsoft responded today.
“That’s surprising to hear,” says John Schappert, Microsoft’s corporate VP of Xbox Live, Software, and Services, when we asked him about Capcom’s issues later in the day. “Last I checked it was Capcom that had an exception to our file size with Street Fighter II [Hyper Fighting]…. We raised our limit to 150 megs, which seems pretty darn great…. I don’t think it has limited our games in any way. Look at Rez HD. Look at Poker Smash. Look at Undertow. These are very, very, very good games.”

GDC: Bionic Commando Rearmed simultaneous on PSN, XBLA and PC in May
Capcom’s upcoming remake of the grapply NES shooter Bionic Commando should be released in May.
That’s according to a Capcom representative who spoke to videogaming247 in the publisher’s flashy hotel suite in San Francisco today.
Said representative added that it should launch on PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade and PC at the same time. We can but hope.
The game’s quite close to completion then, obviously, and is looking very smart. Some bits are still being worked on – we weren’t allowed to see the hacking sections, for example – but the general 2D-with-3D-graphics gameplay of swinging around shooting people was intuitive and gratifying.
We particularly like the way that the enemies flop to their knees ragdoll-like and then tumble off the near side of 2D platforms and off the screen when they’re shot. More of this please, developer-folk.

Street Fighter IV and both Bionic Commando titles for GDC
The arcade build of Street Fighter IV – the same as that being shown at this week’s AOU show in Japan – is to be shown at GDC next week, VG247 can confirm. The game, which is probably the best thing ever despite the fact we’ve only seen a few screenshots, will be playable.
In addition, both the 3D, next-gen re-envisioning of classic shooter Bionic Commando, and the anticipated XBLA remake Bionic Commando Rearmed, are to be shown. The former will be demoed, but will not be playable. The latter is likely to be playable, but that hasn’t been confirmed just yet.
All of which should make you extremely happy. We’ll be at GDC in San Francisco next week, so keep it here for all the Californian gaming news you can stomach.
