As you may have noticed, there’s an awful lot going on at next month’s PC and indie games event, Rezzed. To celebrate its debut show, Eurogamer and Rock, Paper, Shotgun have scored free beta keys from Valve for DOTA 2, which will be given away to every Rezzed attendee.

Rezzed takes place on July 6 and 7 in Brighton, UK. Full show details and tickets can be found over here.

EA has released a new opt-in beta for Origin. Some fine-tuning in the latest version will lower the client’s tendency to hog your system, and also ease the cumbersome DLC download process. It also allows you to display your real name via a tool-tip, so go ahead and disable that if you’re afraid of being outed as that twit who rage quits two rounds into a Mass Effect 3 match. Beta testing for Anno 2070′s new multiplayer mode has begun. Domination fronts two teams of up to five players in a score battle, and allows for asynchronous player. It sounds pretty neat. More information can be found on the game’s forums.

Chalk up a new victory to Microsoft’s legal team, as Fusible reports the National Arbitration Forum has shut down another website purporting to offer Halo 4 beta keys. Halo4Beta.biz is now in Microsoft’s hands, evincing from us a stern reminder that Halo 4 beta keys have not been officially distributed through any channels, so don’t go giving away your personal details to anybody claiming to have one.

ArenaNet has confirmed it has begun sending out beta key invites for Guild Wars 2 – but warned players not to get chatty about it or risk losing access.

Brave Dragonborn can set out on the most daring adventure of their lifetimes, by beta testing the latest patch for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on Steam. As the Bethesda blog notes, it’s best to back up your saves before you give it a go, because in a game this size, something is almost certainly going to go horribly, horribly wrong. Assuming you’re not too attached to the last hundred hours you spent on the game, you can opt into the beta in the Account section of your Steam settings. 343 Industries’ David Ellis has warned fans that any offer of Halo 4 beta access is a fake. Numerous unscrupulous websites have attempted to elicit personal details from hopeful fans, but Microsoft is yet to announce any official beta entry schemes, although the shooter is expected on Xbox 360 before the end of the year.
