Batman: Arkham Collection Edition has been announced by Warner Bros. for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. It contains Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Origins and will be available on November 22 in the UK. Batman: Arkham Origins is obtainable as a physical disc while the other two will be digital downloads and the PC version of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City will be Game of the Year editions. The PS3 version of Batman: Arkham Origins will be the Knightfall DLC pack. Pack shots are below.

Batman: Arkham Origins has topped the UK gaming charts, pushing GTA 5 down a place. It’s a solid debut for Warner Montreal, which has inherited the cowl from Rocksteady Studios.

Warner Bros. Montreal, who are just about to launch Batman: Arkham Origins, have admitted that they experienced “hesitation” from within the company, as well as a healthy dose of scepticism from fans, due to this being the first entry in the Arkham series not designed by Rocksteady.

Batman: Arkham Origins has a launch trailer available below the break. The game is out on PC, PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360 versions on October 25 alongside Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate on Vita and 3DS. The game also released in Europe on October 25 for PS3 and Xbox 360, but the Wii U and PC disc option will not release until November 8. Blackgate will also release on Vita in Europe October 25 but will not release on 3DS until November 8.

Warner Bros. Games has released a 17 minute gameplay video walkthrough for Batman: Arkham Origins. Acting as guides are senior producer Ben Mattes and gameplay director Michael McIntyre, and they take us through the game’s narrative, combat, and mechanics. WB Games will expand its Montreal studio, adding 100 positions over the next five years. The expansion is part of a deal with the Quebec government which invested $63 million in grant money and incentives into the Batman: Arkham Origins studio. This is to help support the local development scene, and the new positions are expected to pay approximately $70,000 annually to employees. At present, the studio has around 325 permanent employees. Earlier this week, Ubisoft was a recipient of a $9.9 million grant by the government which it will use to expand it Montreal studio by 500 jobs. Thanks, GI International.
