Distributor Fox has announced the Assassin’s Creed movie has been pushed back from June 9, 2015 to August 7, 2015, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film is being developed by Ubisoft and New Regency, and looks set to star Michael Fassbender. We had expected it as early as this year, but it went through a rewrite; Ubisoft is quite protective of this one.

This weekend’s big sale on GOG is particularly notable because it’s a 60-percent markdown on every Ubisoft game they have, which includes Assassin’s Creed: Director’s Cut, Beyond Good and Evil, Rayman Origins, Splinter Cell, Far Cry 2 and so on. Some names there.

An employee is said to have found the image online and believed it to be a photograph. This sort of embarrassing mixup happens all the time; the BBC once used a Halo logo instead of the UN’s, and ITV famously presented footage of ArmA 2 as video of actual combat.
