Assassin’s Creed: Lineage to get DVD, Blu-ray release
Ubisoft’s announced it’s to release Assassin’s Creed: Lineage on DVD and Blu-ray on November 15. The release will come with the movie, which acts as a prequel to Assassin’s Creed II, as well as animation Assassin’s Creed: Ascendence and making-of stuff. But then, you can also watch it below the break for free.

Ubisoft not done with “always-on” DRM just yet
After what seemed like an eternity in Stubbornness Years, Ubisoft finally patched the restrictive constant connection requirement out of some of its biggest games. So then, that’s it, right? We can kiss this whole brouhaha goodbye, can’t we? Please?
Well, yes and no. Mostly no.

Googling “Assassin’s Creed II too short” will return you around 176,000 entries. However, players who actually have completed Assassin’s Creed II are in the minority according to Ubisoft’s Gaelec Simard.

Assassin’s Creed II receives Guinness World Record [Update]

Ubisoft games withdrawl from Steam “nothing to do” with DRM
Ubisoft’s just sent VG247 a statement on the report from this morning that Assassin’s Creed II and Silent Hunter V were withdrawn from Steam by Valve over its DRM issues.
