ArmA II dated for the US

Got Game Entertainment is to release a boxed SKU of Bohemia’s ArmA II in the US on July 7.

A Steam version is due for release this week.

The game has already shipped in Europe.

ArmA II patch improves AI, terrain shape, and multiplayer

Bohemia Interactive has issued a patch for ArmA II.

Update 1.02 has the following fixes:

  • Lowered enemy AI skills for regular and recruit difficulty levels
  • Improved Micro AI tactics, attack in pairs, path limiting to avoid passing through walls
  • Fixed multiplayer session NAT negotiation
  • Improved game stability (various crash opportunities fixed)
  • Multiple save slots supported
  • Improved terrain shape beyond map borders
  • Various campaign and localization fixes and improvements
  • Modules (F7) support added in the Mission Editor
  • Added option to disable various post-process effects (bloom, blur etc.)

There is also a download available for a dedicated server.

Bohemia Interactive releases ArmA II launch trailer

Bohemia Interactive has released a launch trailer for ArmA II.

Standard trailer really, showing you the game, what to expect, and touting all the cool things you can do in it.

Watch it over on Eurogamer Germany.

The PC shooter is out today in Europe and expected to land in the states June 26.

Play ArmA Flash game, top two scores win ArmA II

Bohemia Interactive is giving gamers a chance to win ArmA II via a new Flash game over on the official site.

The game puts you in control of a military unit where you must equip your men and use an overhead map to guide them to what you are targeting.

Players with the top two scores win a digital copy of ArmA II.

Go try your luck.

Game’s out on Steam later this month.

ArmA II out June 26 in Europe

Bohemia’s ArmA II will release for PC in Europe on June 26.

The title is billed as offering the “most realistic warfare ever,” and will go up against Codemasters’ Dragon Rising.

As ever, they feature men looking gritty and serious, but there’s some nice pictures of dogs this lot. And a lady in a headscarf.

ArmA II “Freedom” trailer resembles real propaganda footage

Bohemia Interactive has released a new trailer for upcoming FPS war simulation sequel ArmA II.

The title’s expected to be released sometime this year for PC.

Trailer can be watched below, after an advert for the Notorious B.I.G. film.

ARMA II trailer shows pig, dog, exploding heads

A new ARMA II trailer appeared today, showing simulated, US marine-style military action and an errant boar. There’s a great alsatian in there, as well.

Bohemia’s developing the game, which, according to the new movie, is out this year. The outfit coded Operation Flashpoint, the sequel to which is under way at Codemasters: it’s out this summer.

Who’ll win? One thing’s for sure: the trailer after the break doesn’t look too shabby.

ArmA II for Q1 2009, 505 to publish

505′s just confirmed it’s to publish ArmA II in the first quarter of next year.

Developed by Bohemia Interactive, the team behind the original Operation Flashpoint, the game promises “some of the most realistic warfare ever.”

Blimey.

“After the success of ArmA: Armed Assault in Europe, we’re thrilled to bring PC gamers more action-packed warfare with ArmA II,” said 505′s Alex Price.

“This continues to demonstrate our strong support for the European PC market by publishing top quality titles.”
