Persona 4 Arena pre-orders net soundtrack CD
As usual, Atlus has arranged a special bonus for North American pre-orders. Pick up Persona 4 Arena from one of 11 participating retailers to score a free soundtrack CD. The RPG spin-off fighter hits PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in early August; a European release has not been dated but is expected soon.

Arc System Works are teasing something
Arc System Works have launched a teaser site, which according to Andriasang’s sources, will be revealed on July 11. Some in the comments section on the site suggest it would be a new Guilty Gear, or the western release of Accent Core R. One user on suggests it has something to do with a haunted house but no one seems to figured out what it all means just yet. Just know it won’t be much longer, July 11 is next week after all.

Persona 4 Arena DLC detailed for Japan
Arc Systems Works has announced DLC for Persona 4: The Arena in Japan post-release next month. Don’t expect a massive helping, though: the DLC will contain different colour costume variations for characters, different glasses for entering the Persona world and extra menu voiceovers consisting of Mitsuru, Yosuke, Aigis, and Teddie.

Jake Hunter: Rondo of Revenge hitting 3DS in Japan June 28
Arc System Works has announced the next entry in the Jake Hunter franchise will be titled Jake Hunter: Rondo of Revenge. That’s about all that’s known about it for the moment, and other than a few screenshots posted on Siliconera along with a release date and release system – that’s about it. Go have a look. It’s out in Japan on June 28 for 3DS just in time for the 25th Anniversary of the series.

Xblaze “adventure project” announced by Arc System Works
Arc System Works announced during a BlazBlue Continuum Shift 2 national tournament that Xblaze is in development. It’s the first entry in what the firm is calling an “Adventure Project” and will be released in Japan this winter. Series producer Toshimichi Mori also said the second entry in the Adventure Project is also in the works. The video for Xblaze shown at the event is below, courtesy of AGB. General Kuma introduces Persona 4: The Ultimate’s opening
This really needs to be seen to be believed. It’s after the break. P4: The Ultimate launches next month in Japanese arcades and on PS3 and 360 this summer. No western release as yet, though.

Persona 4: The Arena to launch in Japanese arcades in March
Following live location tests, Arc System Works has confirmed it’ll launch Persona 4: The Arena into Japanese arcades in March. A spring timeline was previously announced, but was never narrowed down until now. The fighter, which will see the cast of Persona 4 as well as Persona 3, will eventually come to PS3 and 360 in the summer in Japan.

BlazBlue Revolution tourney has Japanese and US players face off
Aksys Games has announced BlazBlue Revolution, the largest 3v3 tournament for the Arc System Works fighter series to date. The finals will be held in Japan in March 2012, and Aksys will supply airfares and accommodation to the winning trio of the US arm – plus a special bonus if by some twist of fate, they beat their Japanese rivals. Haaaa. US qualifiers will play out in Southern California, and more details will be available through the event’s website on December 17.
BlazBlue is a series of closely-interlinked fighters with an emphasis on technical combos, much like spiritual precursor Guilty Gear. It boasts two core entries, one spin off, plus portable versions and revisions.

Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena debut trailer released
Atlus has released the first trailer for Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena from Arc System Works. The game is slated for release in Japanese arcades in early 2012, and during summer 2012 on PS3 and Xbox 360. It will also be playable during TGS next week. Thanks, Gematsu.
