BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma will be released in North America during March 2014, Aksys Games and Arc System Works have announced. The 2D fighting game will also be made available in a Limited Edition, which is now available for pre-order at retail outlets for $79.99. The BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Limited Edition will include a 40-page art book, official soundtrack CD, and small figurine of Rachel Alucard as well as “two North American exclusive” mystery items. The brawler was released on PS3 in Japan back in October.

BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma developer Arc System Works has produced a new gameplay trailer that shows the combatants knocking lumps out of each other, all to a sweet J-Rock soundtrack.

Aksys has confirmed a western Limited Edition for upcoming 2D fighter BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma, complete with art book, soundtrack CD, figurine and a mystery fourth item.

Swords & Darkness is a retro-styled, action-RPG for 3DS coming from Arc System Works. The side-scroller has extra elements to it, such as the ability to block with a shield and also perform some chain moves. Players will be able to level up, change equipment and and learn news moves, much like a typical RPG. Sword & Darkness will be released through the eShop in Japan this winter. A video is below. BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma has received a new PS3 roster trailer, care of Arc System Works. The clip shows of new and returning fighters entering the fray when the game hits Sony’s console across Japan on October 24. BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma will arrive in North American in 2014.

Arc System Works has signed a deal to use Unreal Engine 3 for its new Guilty Gear game titled Guilty Gear Xrd –SIGN. The Guilty Gear series also recently celebrated its 15th anniversary, and it’s the first game in the series to use URE3. Get a glimpse of the game below in action, again. The game is currently in development, so platforms and a release date are to be announced at a later date.

BlazBlue is being transformed into an anime series called ‘BlazBlue: Alter Memory’. It’ll begin in Autumn, although it’s not yet clear which networks will support it, or if it’ll purely be an online endeavour.

As revealed in a bright and flashy new video, Arc System Works are hard at work developing Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-. With metal music a’rocking and pushing the power of the Unreal Engine, the game-play certainly looks to be an excellent continuation of their fighting classic.

Arc System Works, creators of such games as BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, Guilty Gear and Persona 4: Arena is holding a 25th anniversary bash called Arc System Works Festival – or ‘ArcFes’ – in Yokohama, Japan. The festivities kick off May 19.

Persona 4: Arena developer Arc System Works has released a story teaser trailer and screens for its incoming brawler. The game is set for a May 10 release across Europe on PS3 and Xbox 360, but you can play catch up with the plot here.

Arc System Works’ adenture game Xblaze is due on PlayStation 3 and Vita in Japan this July, according to Famitsu. Gematsu‘s translation reveals the names of a few characters – Kagari Touya, Es, Himezuru Hinata, Kuon Gramred Shutleheim and Amano Hokosakamei – but little else. The title was announced in early 2012 and shown at the Tokyo Game Show later that year. Now word on localisation, but the team’s BlazBlue games have done fairly well internationally, so there’s hope.
