Ubisoft has announced the Eden Project DLC is now available for Anno 2070. The DLC takes players into the future for the first time, offering new, clean and sustainable technologies, and challenges for the player to manage, along with a “deep economic system” and a “dynamic game world.” Players can also take advantage of Former Technology to develop new tools in order to keep their island healthy. The DLC is now available through Steam for $3.99.

Ubisoft has apologized over a server switch which has left some users unable to play According to the company, speaking via Twitter, both titles were “announced as playable” during the migration, and were not on the list of games provided by the company that would be affected last week during the switch. Those who are affected at the moment, should keep an eye on the company’s Twitter account for updates. The migration was to help Ubisoft “improve the maintenance of our infrastructure and deliver better uptime and greatly improved services for our customers.” Thanks, RipTen.

BlueByte has removed the component in its Tages DRM, which logged hardware changes on a user’s PC, thus using up one of the limited activations allowed for Anno 2070. According to a developer statement provided to Guru3D, “the graphics hardware from the hash used to identify the PC” was removed, which means you can now “switch the GFX as many times” as you want in your PC. At first, Anno players thought there was an error in the DRM causing the issue, but Ubisoft said the inclusion was “intentional” and that many users hadn’t experienced a problem with it. Ubisoft has said good customer support will resolve the few occasions when its Tages DRM affects players.
