Animal Crossing: New Leaf players who use the SpotPass feature will receive a free Tree-Stump Chair for the game from now until December 31. To receive the gift, players will need to head to the in-game Post Office on Main Street and speak with either Pelly or Phyllis. The chair is only available until the end of the month, so if you want the spiffy chair, it’d probably be best to go ahead and download it. Thanks, Nintendo World Report.

Animal Crossing 3DS is stupidly charming, the kind of charm-factor that makes people shout ‘naaaaaw’ really loudly. Nintendo’s town-builder has received new screens showing off co-op fun, new interiors, decorations, shops and a mini-game that challenges players to beat each other with hammers. Cute.

Catastrophe this morning for the Nordic region, as news hits that the Animal Crossing-Wii Speak bundle won’t be available in Norway, Denmark and Sweden.
Apparently our Northern cousins will be able to buy the game and microphone peripheral separately, but not in the same pack.
Expect viking fury about this over the course of the day. Or not.

Not so fast, Tom East. The UK Official Nintendo Magazine has pulled a reference to an Animal Crossing Wii reveal at E3 next week. Luckily, GoNintendo has eagle eyes.
The original text on East’s blog said, “Those of you who have read the new issue of Official Nintendo Magazine should already know that Animal Crossing Wii will be unveiled at the conference,” but this has now been replaced with, “Of course everyone is hoping that Animal Crossing Wii will be there but what else would you like to see. What would be your dream line-up be?”
Can’t beat the internet, Nintendo. Why bother?

UK NOM staffer Tom East has claimed on his blog that Animal Crossing Wii will definitely be shown in Nintendo’s E3 press conference next Tuesday.
“Those of you who have read the new issue of Official Nintendo Magazine should already know that Animal Crossing Wii will be unveiled at the conference,” he said.
It was reported last week that the magazine was carrying a back page that appeared to heavily indicate the game was revealed at the show.
Nintendo Japan’s going to be well pleased with you, kids.

According to this GoNintendo article, the next issue of Nintendo Official Magazine in the UK is carrying a piece of Animal Crossing art on its back page with some text suggesting we may be about to see another title from the franchise.
“It’s been a while! It’s time to revisit an old friend. How’s your village doing these days?”
Animal Crossing Wii for E3, then.

Both titles appear to only be slated for Japanese at the moment, and Nintendo has said nothing of the games releasing in the rest of the world up to now. The Animal Crossing game has previously been rumoured to be a full-blown MMO (yikes) but, again, Nintendo’s said nothing as yet.
