Animal Crossing 3DS was dated for Japan during a Nintendo Direct presentation overnight, but no word was given of the much-anticipated sim’s western launch. Happily, Nintendo of America has come to our rescue with a brief tweet promising the 3DS exclusive “during the first half of 2013″. Whet your appetite withsome more information on Animal Crossing 3DS’s customisation and shops.

Nintendo’s still on course to release the 3DS version of Animal Crossing despite it being mysteriously absent from E3 last week.
