Amazon climbs on board free-to-play, MMO bandwagon with Game Connect
Hot off yesterday’s Game Centre Kindle Fire announcement, Amazon has more gaming goodness up its sleeve. The retail giant has expended its marketplace to include free-to-play and MMO games via a system called Game Connect. The platform allows users to make in-game purchases via an existing Amazon account, giving the site a cut off the profit and providing another secure payment option for nervy gamers. Red Dead Redemption is free from Amazon when you buy Max Payne 3
Amazon has a really good deal going on at the moment if you are in the market for Max Payne 3 on PS3 or Xbox 360. Black Ops 2 pre-orders go live, GAME offering MW3 prestige token reward
Amazon and GAME UK have already kicked off pre-orders for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 following the Treyarch shooter’s official reveal last night. Amazon’s opened pre-orders on PS3, 360 and PC at £42.68 for PS3, £42.90 for Xbox 360 and £44.87 on PC. GAME’s offering it for £44.99 on PS3 and 360 or £39.99 on PC. Those who order the PS3 or 360 version with the latter, though, will get a MW3 prestige token that will unlock a new weapon, double XP, new class or more.
Black Ops 2 launches on November 13 worldwide.
