Malicious Rebirth will be released in North America and Europe, Alvion has confirmed on Twitter. According to tweets from the firm, the English localization has been sent to the English publisher, and the release date “depends on them.” The enhanced Vita port of the 2010 PS3 title was released in Japan last fall. Alivion has released yet another enormous stack of screenshots and artwork for Malicious: Rebirth. The Vita version features all new content while still looking just as lovely as the original downloadable PlayStation 3 title, Malicious; visit Andriasang to paw over all 44 new images. The portable release hits Japan shortly but hasn’t been confirmed for western launch; the original took a year to reach us.

Sony has announced Malicious, the game where players control a Spirit Vessel awakened by prophets to defeat the Holders, will be released on July 24 via US PSN. Players will use the “the Mantle of Cinders,” a magical artifact that takes the form of weapons or a shield to defeat these evil giants. Players can select whichever stage they wish and jump directly into boss battles in whatever order they want. Upon defeating each boss, its power will be absorbed and used to gain new and unique abilities. The end goal is to defeat the “ultimate evil,” Malicious. It will run you $9.99 on release and more information will be released closer to launch.

Head on over to Andriasang to check out a huge pile of screens for Malicious: Rebirth, the Vita remake of Alvion’s PlayStation Network brawler. The stylish PlayStation 3 exclusive appears to have made the transition to portable fairly well, if you can forgive a jaggie or ten. It hits Japan some time in the next few months but will probably take at least a year to surface elsewhere.

Dengeki is carrying an update on the Vita version of PlayStation 3 brawler Malicious, Andriasang reports. The Vita release has gained a subtitle – Rebirth – because it’s more than a direct port; Alvion has packed in new stages and even new moves. It should arrive in Japan during northern summer, although expect a delay getting it elsewhere; Malicious took over 15 months to make it to the European PlayStation Network.

Alvion’s gorgeous action game Malicious, previously exclusive to the Japanese PSN, arrives in Europe this week.
