Sega posts quarterly profit, 51% sales increase in spite of weak Alpha Protocol and Iron Man 2 sales

segalogo1

Nintendo nose-dived. Capcom cratered. The Japanese gaming industry seems to be doing its best impression of a horror movie right now, and the mere mention of Sega already has us hiding behind our couch, cringing in anticipation. So then, what are we waiting for? Here comes the carnage…!

Huh? A profit?

New Alpha Protocol trailer breaks rules, arms

alphaprotocol4

We’re not going to make any bones about it: Michael Thorton’s kind of lazy. If the latest Alpha Protocol trailer proves anything, it’s that the road to spyhood can be partially bypassed by cutting corners. Hacking computers, laying traps, sneaking up on guards – it’s almost like Thorton doesn’t want to be noticed.

Watch Thorton sleep his way through a bunch of lame old life-threatening situations after the break. If only our job was so easy.

alphaprotocol

Obsidian has released another new video for Alpha Protocol, and in this one it shows how you can use your words to get what you want.

Poor Vodka. It never hurt anyone. Now it’s all over the floor.

It’s below the break courtesy of Joystiq.

Game’s out May 28 and June 1 in Europe and the US, respectively.

This one, is for Scarlet Lake. She’s a journalist who wears low-cut shirts and has hair to match her name.

Watch your back, Agent Thorton. She seems a bit shady.

Alpha Protocol – Henry Leland is an arms dealer with a mission

alphaprotocol4

A new video for Alpha Protocol was sent over to us today by the fine folks at SEGA.

It’s a character vinaigrette for weapons dealer Henry Leland, who enlists the help of Agent Michael Thorton in recovering some stolen weapons. All is not what it seems with Henry though, as it is suspected that he has a hidden agenda – like most shady folk.

Yesterday, we posted videos for a Russian informant and sexy German lady who likes to make sexual innuendos.

Alpha Protocol releases on May 28 in Europe for PS3, 360 and PC, with a US launch on June 1.

Watch the video below, or through here.
