Wesker will not appear in future Resident Evil games, says producer

During a Capcom panel at Comic-Con, Resident Evil 5 producer Masachika Kawata was asked if Albert Wesker would appear in more Resident Evil games considering Resident Evil 5 left you wondering for some reason.
Apparently, the answer is no.
“Even if you want Albert Wesker to come back there is no chance of that happening,” Kawata told the audience, reports Siliconera.
So after appearing in the original, Code Veronica, Zero, RE4 and RE5 (Darkside Chronicles technically doesn’t count) Wesker is no more.
But if there is one thing we have learned playing different videogames over the years, it’s that you can’t keep a good series villain down for long.
Right Ganon/Ganondorf?

RE5′s Wesker says videogames are just as important as TV and film

DC Douglas, the actor who played Albert Wesker in Resident Evil 5, has told Destructoid that working on the game was as good as his gig on the NBC sitcom Boston Common.
When asked if games provide the same amount of prestige as TV and film, he readily agreed that it’s a medium that’s come of age.
“Are you kidding? I am getting just as much response from fans AND industry folks regarding RE5 as I did when I was a recurring on NBC’s Boston Common in the mid 1990s,” he said.
“VG has arrived. Now actors just have to get some residuals for our work like we do with films and TV.”
Funnily enough, he never mentioned if his small stint on the campy soap Passions caused the same stir.
