No Afrika for Europe, world ends
SCEE’s now decided there is some news on Afrika, telling Eurogamer the game won’t be releasing in Europe.
And that’s it. Can we stop talking about it now?

New Afrika shots show… animals
God. Does this mean we’re now in for months of pictures of zebras? PSU’s posted some more shots of Afrika. There’s an ostrich on one of them. There’s an elephant in another. Only you know if this excites you. We can tell you that we’re pretty sure it doesn’t us.
Take a look.

Afrika “coming soon,” says SCEJ
Following news over the weekend of Afrika being listed for an August release by Play-Asia and a SCEE claim that there was “no news” on the mystery safari game, SCEJ’s put up a page on its site saying it’s “coming soon”.
There’s also a little rhino walking across the screen. It doesn’t get much better than this.
Afrika is the game no one knows anything about. It was announced in the PS3 “darling” phase about two years ago, and was assumed by many to be a tech demo designed to show wide environments and flocking animals. Shows how wrong everyone can be.

“No news on Afrika,” says SCEE, as Japanese release date is rumoured
Sony blanked us when we asked for an update on Afrika this week, saying there was nothing to report on the mystery PS3 rhino romp.
“I’m afraid there is no news on the Afrika front at the moment,” a SCEE spokesperson told videogaming247 this week.
The firm may have been telling porkies however, as Play-Asia’s just listed the game as an August 28 release.
What is Afrika? No one knows. It was talked about when PS3 was in its salad days. It has zebras in it. We’ll know more soon, from the sound of it.
