True Crime to benefit from GTA stayaway this year
True Crime’s reboot is looking “especially strong,” Activision Blizzard CEO Mike Griffith said in the company’s full-year earnings call last night, and will be rewarded by a lack of competition in the genre later this year.

New Hawk Ride game will “unlock the full potential of the board”
Despite Robomodo’s initial Tony Hawk Ride title getting roundly savage by critics towards the end of 2009, company CEO Mike Griffith believes the next game in the series, due later this year, will succeed in achieving the concept’s vision.

Global console install base to rise 47 million units in 2010, says Kotick
Activision Blizzard predicted last night that worldwide console sales this year will amount to around 47 million units, with the majority of growth coming from handheld systems.

Morhaime confirms the unthinkable: WoW’s stopped growing
Blizzard boss Mike Morhaime just said that World of Warcraft’s subs base is static at 11.5 million users, at the same level it’s been since late 2008. Yep: that means it’s not going up.

Acti Blizz 2009 revenue up 43%, Q4 revenue sees slight drop
Activision Blizzard has just posted $1.56 billion revenue for Q4 2009, down slightly from the $1.6 billion the corresponding previous period.
Full-year revenue standing at $4.28 billion, up from $3 billion in the year previous.
