Hitman ICA app now available for Android, iOS
A Hitman: Absolution companion app has been released for iOS and Android, and there’s a video available below showing off its features. Hitman ICA helps players track their progress, and unlocks various rewards in-game.

Square apologizes for “offensive” Hitman: Absolution promo app
Square Enix has apologized over a Hitman: Absolution promotion in which people could put hits out on their Facebook friends for a myriad of reasons ranging from having less than ample female/male attributes to being a ginger.

Hitman: Absolution patch fixes negative level-scores, configuration issues
Hitman: Absolution has been given a patch on PC, which will auto-start once the player logs into Steam. The patch fixes issues seen on specific configurations which caused the game to not start up, and Sniper Challenge Unlocks not carrying over into the game, Once the patch is applied, the game will receive the unlocks. The patch also addresses the issue negative scoring, however, newly accomplished positive scores will be needed to erase the incorrectly remembered negatives. Hitman: Absolution – man’s head catches fire in new trailer
Hitman: Absolution has a new trailer available for you to gawk at called: The Kill Mode. Basically, it shows you various ways to off someone using the environment. Case in point: a dancer at a club gets a disco ball to the head, and some poor fella in what appears to be a lab coat gets set alight. Nice. Watch it below.

Hitman: Absolution’s Blake Dexter is played by actor Keith Carradine
Hitman: Absolution contains a villain by the name of Blake Dexter, who is not only a twisted and formidable foe, but he is played by actor Keith Carradine in the game. Dexter is the cowboy hat wearing fella who pretty much runs the town of Hope, North Dakota in a shady manner. Think of him as the town’s Brad Wesley from Road House and you get the idea. Hitman: Absolution contains multiplayer mode called Contracts
Hitman: Absolution features asynchronous multiplayer, according to an announcement from IO Interactive at gamescom. Called Contracts, players can create their own scenarios, can pick out three characters on a level, choose the weapons, and challenge other players to “contract”. The faster the hits are made, the more money made. Weekly contracts will be added by the developer and earned money allows new scenarios with weapons and disguises. The mode is playable at gamescom and a video of the new mode will be released tomorrow. Thanks, Joystiq.

Retailers list Hitman: Absolution for September release
Various UK retailers are hosting place holders Hitman: Absolution, pegging it for September release – although one retailer doesn’t agree on the date. Zavi and HotUKDeals have all three versions landing on September 17, which is a Monday, while ShopTo has September 24 down as a place holder – which is also a Monday. Square has yet to announce a release window for the title, but it has been expected to land sometime in the fall for quite some time. Thanks, MCV.

Agent 47′s the culplrit behind a deadly “prank” in these Hitman: Absolution screens
Square and IO have sent over two new screenshots for Hitman: Absolution. You’ll be familiar with one of these, as it was posted yesterday in the latest edition of the game’s Hope Times newspaper. Game’s out sometime this year on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. We really wish Square would announce a release date for this – soon.
