If you pick up Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure, you’ll receive a free copy of a DC comic called A Battle Most Bizarre on Comixology, the publisher’s digital portal. Polygon reports the comic has Batman and Superman facing off against Bizarro and the Joker, and a magical notebook is involved. The 3DS, PC and Wii U puzzler arrives on September 24 in North America, but has not been dated for Europe. Previous entry Scribblenauts Unlimited finally arrives in December, though.

The mysteriously delayed 3DS and Wii U versions of Scribblenauts Unlimited will finally reach Europe and the UK before the end of the year.

Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure has a new video available showing you how to create your own super hero or villain using the Hero Creator tool. The adorable tutorial is provided by Geoff Johns and Jim Lee from DC Comics. The game, which melds the Scribblenauts franchise with thousands of DC Comics characters and objects across DC Comics worlds will be available on September 24 in the US on 3DS, PC and Wii U. A UK date is to be announced.

Nyan Cat creator Christopher Orlando Torres has said he tried to reach an amicable resolution with 5th Cell and Warner Bros over the use of the meme in Scribblenauts Unlimited, but was “disrespected and snubbed”.

Scribblenauts Unlimited is heading to Wii U in February. I’ve been playing it this week to write an impressions piece which you can read right here next week. Along the way I’ve discovered tons of neat Nintendo easter eggs, such as being able to give Mario a mushroom power up to have him turn into a giant, or have Link jam out a tune on the Ocarina of Time. Nintendo has sent us some shots of the easter eggs in action, and you check out our gallery below.

Scribblenauts Unlimited on Wii U will feature a host of Mario and Zelda cameos and items, but unfortunately for Nintendo 3DS owners, the cameos haven’t made it over to the handheld version. Developer 5th Cell has revealed that it was a matter of timing.
