Microsoft’s Phil Harrison stepped on stage to talk indie support. so far, over 200 indie developers have launched over 400 games totaling billions in revenue. The first indie title announced for Xbox One was Minecraft. Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will deliver the “Minecraft” experience to Xbox Oneand includes larger maps for more complex structures, expanded multiplayer features and enhanced gameplay. Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is out today on disc in the US. It contains everything included in the XBLA version. It arrives June 6 in Japan, Australia, New Zealand and June 25 in Canada. Those in the UK, France, Ireland and Spain can pick it up on June 28.

Minecraft Xbox 360 Update 11, which contains mainly bug fixes and the like, has gone into certification so it should be released sooner rather than later. The issues getting stomped by 4J Studios include explosion lag, messaging problems, spawn limit issue, and reduced Ghast sound volume. You can view the entire changelog over on OXM. Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition was expected to be released on disc April 30, but it has been delayed to June 4 according to Major Nelson. The tweet he posted said the reason for the delay was to “include the very latest content.” The disc version was to include Update 9 which was recently released, and it wasn’t said whether the delay was to include Update 10 which is in the works now. We’ll let you know when we hear more about it.

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition players have played the game for over one billion hours. The figure was announced via playXBLA. Update 10 for the game is currently in testing, so surely it won’t be long before that figure is surpassed.
