Metro 2033 film rights have been acquired by MGM
Metro 2033 film rights have been acquired by MGM. Granted the rights are for the sc-fi novel written by Dmitri Glukhovsky, but still, it was turned into a game by 4A and the sequel, Metro: last Light is in the works for 2013. F. Scott Frazier will write the script and it will be produced by Mark Johnson (“The Chronicles of Narnia”). Via Hollywood Reporter.

Ranger Pack DLC for Metro 2033 dated
4A has announced via Twitter the Ranger Pack for Metro 2033 will arrive on August 3 for PC and Xbox 360.

Ranger Pack revealed as DLC for Metro 2033
4A has revealed over on the Metro 2033 Facebook page the contents of the DLC pack in the works for the shooter.

Production on Metro 2033 DLC has started, multiplayer not possible
THQ and 4A announced today on the official Facebook page for Metro 2033 that production has started on DLC for the game.
Looks like the “wait and see” approach didn’t take so long after all.

Dev videos for Metro 2033 chat about currency, societies, graphics
A couple new Metro 2033 videos were released this week, and we have both below the break for you, courtesy of GameTrailers.
In both, game producer Luis Gigliotti chats about the game’s visuals, the Metro system, societies in the underground, and how bullets have become currency in the world of Metro 2033.
It looks rather good actually.
The game’s out in March for Xbox 360 and PC, and if you pre-order it through Steam you get Red Faction: Guerrilla for free.

THQ has announced a Limited Edition for Metro 2033 on Xbox 360 and PC, which includes an exclusive in-game weapon and four art cards featuring artwork by Russian painter Anton Grechko.

Moscow’s a nuclear wasteland in new Metro 2033 screens
Some new screens for Metro 2033 popped up over on Shack today.
Each shows 4A’s depiction of Moscow after nuclear annihilation in 2013.
THQ says the game will be out for PC and 360 in early 2010.
