XCOM shooter reveal confirmed by 2K, will happen in “a matter of days”
XCOM developer 2K Marin will blow the doors off its shooter once again in a matter of days, the company has confirmed. The project was initially announced back in 2011 but was taken back to the drawing board for re-tooling. The studio confirmed that the game has “undergone an evolution” since we last saw it.

BioShock and BioShock 2 just $4 from Gamefly
If you haven’t yet experienced the original BioShock and its solid if not quite as magical sequel, now is the time. The XCOM shooter spinoff may no longer carry XCOM brand – rumor
Internet wizard Superannuation today made a new post, and the highlight, probably, involves the shooter version of XCOM that has been in development at 2K Marin for a while now. We haven’t seen any updates on that title in a long time, and Superannuation’s data suggests it might be because they’re dropping the XCOM brand from the game.

Report – XCOM delayed into 2013
IGN has highlighted a mention in the print version of GameInformer that 2K Marin’s shooter XCOM has been pushed back to 2013. The delay was apparently revealed as part of the unveiling of Firaxis’s strategy release, XCOM: Enemy Unknown. The shooter had been expected during 2012, and a 2K Australia representative could not confirm the date change.
