Project Godus is the first and perhaps only full game from Peter Molyneux’s studio 22 Cans. The veteran developer has explained to VG247 how an abundance of strict publisher control helped him consider Kickstarter instead, and why putting the beta into investor’s hands will help Godus become a better game.

Peter Molyneux’s studio 22 Cans launched a Kickstarter page for what is supposedly its one and only game release. It’s a god sim called Godus that attempts to recreate and improve on the foundation laid by Molyneux’s 1989 PC title Populous. However, a tearful Molyneux has revealed that he’s concerned that Curiosity’s server issues have created distrust among gamers. More below.

Curiosity: What’s Inside the Cube? has been battered by ongoing server issues since it launched last week. Peter Molyneux cube-tapping bonanza has been lagging, crashing out and has been wiping player’s hard-earned coins without reason. The developer has now admitted that the situation isn’t good enough. 22Cans and Peter Molyneux have released a video, apologizing for technical issues with Curiosity: What’s Inside The Cube?. The video explains that the issues stem from server issues caused by a high volume of folks playing the mobile title. The team is working on resolving the issues, with the ultimate goal being users to log on instantaneously and for concurrent users to be able to perform block taps in actual real-time. Watch below.

Peter Molyneux may have just launched Curiosity: What’s Inside the Cube? on smartphone and tablets this week, but he’s not convinced by the way tablet devices are being used by Wii U and via Xbox SmartGlass. He reckons it’s a case of tech guys running wild with ideas without thinking of the logistics.

Peter Molyneux’s latest game – or perhaps experiment – is available now on iDevice. Curiosity: What’s Inside the Cube? challenges players to chip away at an enormous cube, exposing new layers, until finally just one lucky user removes the final layer, after which they’ll be sent a video link explaining what’s inside, which they can choose to share or not. The social experience is also expected on Facebook but has not gone live as yet.

Curiosity developer 22 Cans is only going to make one full game, studio founder Peter Molyneux has revealed to VG247. The developer considers Curiosity one of 22 experiments that will essentially fuel creation of its only full game, which is yet to be revealed.
