NPD’s Anita Frazier reckons 2010 will be a “really exciting year” for the games industry, with Q1 to possibly be the “biggest quarter in videogame history” thanks to titles that slipped from 2009.

Rockstar: Agent will release in 2010
Mentioned during a Q&A relating to GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony, Rockstar has confirmed that Agent will see a release in 2010.
The except, which is mentioned during the end when asked if there was a chance the GTA IV DLC would come to the PS3, said:
“We appreciate the enthusiasm of PlayStation 3 owners and believe us, we understand where you’re coming from.”
“That’s why we are working hard on a lineup of PlayStation 3 releases for 2010 that we know you will be very excited to play – including Red Dead Redemption, Max Payne 3, and the PlayStation 3 exclusive AGENT, which is a brand-new title from Rockstar North, the creators of the Grand Theft Auto series.”
The game was announced as a PS3 exclusive at E3 in June.

Mexican games market worth $1 billion by 2010
Says so here. The news comes from a Research and Markets report.
The review states that the Mexican games industry is “exploding”.
“The results of our research flies in the face of the image of Mexico as an insignificant consumer market plagued with piracy,” said Phung Pham, lead analyst on the paper. “There is a booming gamer population and despite problems with piracy, a substantial level of legitimate business. And video game publishers are finally starting to take note.”
All those people speaking Spanish. You’d think someone would launch a proper Spanish language games website, wouldn’t you?

“2010″ could be Clash of the Titans game
The recently spotted “2010″ game from Brash could be the film tie-in for the upcoming Clash of the Titans movie, says this. Brash also confirmed it’s handling the Saw game yesterday, so this doesn’t sound like the most impossible thing in the world. As long as the skeletons are done in stop-frame animation, we’re good with it.

Brash shows 2010 for first time
No, it’s nothing to do with the film. According to this, Brash showed a game titled 2010 at a recent press event, which sounds like an action affair involving minotaurs, walking skeletons, swords and massive scorpions. It was in trailer-only form, so it sounds a way off. There’s no release date or platform information as yet.
