Ubisoft: 1666 suspended, two new titles in 2013
Ubisoft announced today during its call to investors that it has suspended development of 1666, one of the projects it picked during the THQ Auction in January. According to the firm’s CEO, Ubisoft couldn’t “align its vision on development and team management” with Patrice Désilets.

Leaving Ubisoft “was not my decision,” says Désilets
Ubisoft has announced the departure of Patrice Désilets once again, after rumors of his leaving and the cancellation of his projects surfaced earlier. Since the confirmation by Ubisoft, Désilets has since said he was fired from the company.

Ubisoft has elaborated a bit more on its THQ Montreal purchase, stating that the firm is “happy” over the possibility of “working with” Patrice Désilets again despite his departure back in 2010 to help build THQ’s Canadian studio.

Ubisoft issues South Park, THQ Montreal statement: new IP confirmed
Ubisoft won big at the THQ auction this week, snapping up South Park: The Stick of Truth and THQ Montreal. The publisher has now issued a full statement on the matter, that confirms THQ Montreal’s development of an unannounced new IP, which could be Patrice Désilets new title ’1666′, or a game known as ‘Underdog.
