Brownie Brown founder Shinichi Kameoka starts new studio

Brownie Brown founder Shinichi Kameoka has left the company, which was recently restructured and renamed 1-Up Studio, to form his own development studio. Kameoka has named it Brownies and a place holder has popped up on the firm’s new website, teasing a full launch date of March 1. Thanks, Nintendo World Report.

Fantasy Life developer Brownie Brown has changed its name to 1-UP Studio. Formed in 2000 as a subsidiary of Nintendo, titles the firm has developed or co-developed include: Magical Vacation, Sword of Mana, Mother 3, Magical Vacation: When the Five Stars Align, Blue Dragon Plus, and is aiding the development Professor Layton and the Last Specter and Fantasy Life.
