Endless patches, reboots, driver updates and messing around with settings to get the game running properly. Gotcha. :P
I recently re-discovered these joys with Fallout 3 and L4D.

reask: Apparently they're renowned for doing it on that site. Realistically though... can you see any "spokesperson" being stupid enough to say something like that? I've seen some pretty spectacular failures but complimenting your competitor and at the same time setting yourself up for a fall? Bad move.

putting a disk inside and pressing A or X however isn't :)gaming is not about pressing buttons or mashing em,its about the exp you get (i know i do )from things starting with knowing the proper settings for your rig ,and ends with reading the credits off the screen from 2 or 3 feet away

Yeah, it's fine as a hobby if you have the time and the money. I can definitely see the appeal of immersing yourself in the 'nuts and bolts' behind gaming in the same way as car enthusiasts spend time and money constantly tweaking and tuning their cars.
But I think for most people, if you don't have the time or the money, then the headaches that come along with hardcore PC gaming are far too many.

i don't have neither time nor money ,but i would take 2 hrs of gameplay (which may include 1hr of tweaking ) ,over 4 hours of button mashing with my ass sitting on the sofa thinking OMG 36o rulez

Valve`s done L4D 4 the 360
Crytek is considering the Multi platform release
