My disc drive is playing up at the minute wont read games just DVDs.
It will work sometimes if I keep putting the game in and out.
I contacted MS support on 9/2/09 to have it collected for repair.
To cut a long story short it still has not been collected.
Anyway I live in County Louth north of Dublin.
The only place I can find is a place in Bray County Wicklow which is a bit far away.
I was wondering does anyone know of someone up my end of the country who does repairs.

Seriously, if you have a GameStop close by, pop in and see if they can get Microsoft to give you a new unit for your defunct 360.
Thats what I did when my 360 went under the exact same conditions you have for yours. Mine went the day Halo 3 launched but my GameStop got it replaced within an half hour when on the phone with the manager (although thats because we're good friends and went to the same school in Derry XD). He told me to wait a half hour as he got ahold of Microsoft to get permission first though (mine was under warranty anyways)

Unfortunately mine is out of warranty.
They have already charged my credit card 88 Euro for repair.
I have to send a letter to them with documentation to get payment cancelled.
Major bummer.

I have been on to them again to get them to reimburse me.
30 days she reckons.I told them I wouldn't send them to the shop for a pint of milk.
I also told them I would be contacting RTE the national radio station to expose there incompetence.
Never had the misfortune to experience such high levels of incompetence ln my life.
Never again will I buy MS and that includes PC.
