Got it on VGchartz so Not sure how reliable figures are.
According to story not a big hardware boost.
Take a look and see what you think.

Can we make it a forum rule that VGChartz are never ever quoted as a source?
Thanks.

Surely they cant be that bad Mike.
Mind you I did say I was not sure how reliable it was.Posted 4 years ago # -
They're terrible.

But we know that the figure has to be above 700k because Sony have already said it's broken the PS3's first-party pre-order record (previously held by GT5:P - at just under that amount).

They may be full of shit... but I'll give them this, they've got balls for just flat out ignoring Sony's "We've got 1.1m pre-orders in Europe" PR.

If you check the leaderboards in game then there are closing in on 400k people who have tried the online element, so about double that is a reasonable estimate for the total sell through. It wouldn't be much less.

Psychotext, don't they just do it for America?
If so that could be right.
Unless Cort is right, and those were AMerican figures.

VGChartz makes up figures for everywhere... they're not picky. If there's numbers to be made up, they'll make em up, irrespective of country.
But no, the site didn't say they were for a specific region.

They are brave then.
I like them for being inaccruate dicks.

Found myself on madeupchartz a minute ago looking at their US "charts". First week "numbers" for Killzone 2 in the US were 359k... so I checked their overall "numbers" and indeed it was for the worldwide that they were "reporting".

That was like Resistance 2 'month 2' sales.....
So ugh... lolchartz.

Their historical data is fine, they amend their own data using official statistics from NPD et al. I'd say anything in the last three months is the dodgy stuff.

Anything in the last month and a half and pretty much anything ever from Europe.
That's for hardware data. Most of their software data comes from cloud cuckoo land for everywhere other than Japan.
