Shouldn't be allowed to play videogames.
To be honest, that might be a bit generous. If you can't remember the NES, then you're a tourist.

While I was only born in the early 90s (1991), I do remember the SNES.
Am I an exception?
Jesus Johnny, that posts only been up two minutes and you just have to go and prove me wrong already.
Okay, okay - how about this: if you were first around for the 16-bit generation, you can still play videogames... *but* you're forever considered a newbie.
If you started playing videogames from the 32-bit era or later, then you have no right to pick up a controller, much less have an opinion.
Fair?

Boo! I demand an opt-out clause.
Though I did play some computer games earlier than that.
Well then, you qualify! I don't mean console games - console gens are just a handy shorthand for gaming epochs.
I was born in 1991, and still spent several years playing Master System and NES before I realized that there was this new thing called Nintendo 64 that was way cooler. My parents did what they could to keep me out of video games. Didn't help much.
Stop making me feel old, chaps.
Console gens are "a handy shorthand for gaming epochs"? Nice try, but this thread reeks of console bias.
@dirigiblebill I am right there with you. :(
