I've just re-purchased a Vita and have come across a problem that I thought I would share in case anyone else is thinking of purchasing.
You really NEED a big memory card. It didn't matter to me when I had one originally, but as soon as you join PS +, and the 'free' games become available, you need alot of space.
It's like the PS1 days and Sony are being assholes by not letting you buy anything other than their own branded cards.
I got mine from Amazon:
It was £60!!!! On top of the cost of the machine!
32Gb may seem a little big, but remember, PS Vita titles are almost the same size as full console titles, games can be 3-6Gb EACH!!!!
With PS Plus active, it will be very easy to fill even a 32Gb card.
PSP, PS1 and PS Mini's are smaller in size but it all adds up. Im currently using Content Manager to back-up my things off the 4GB card it came with:
A warning, this software is god awful, I strongly suggest getting the biggest memory card you can from the get go, rather than ever having to use this software, I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.
So all in all, remember to factor in the horrible memory card price when purchasing, it's a shitty 'hidden' cost and can add a lot on top of an already expensive package when you include PS+ etc...
Or wait for the price drop, I couldn't because of 'Soul Sacrifice' and PSO2, and, I guess i've paid the price...
I also bought this as I haven't got 'baby hands', and it seems pretty solid so far:
If anyone cares to list good games to add to the 'buyers guide' then feel free! :)
