   I personally would love to see this, my only concern being that to Ubi's credit, they do their research by going to places and looking for both the good and the bad in a countries history. Now, Iran is not known for being reasonable with game devs that happen to show the bad things and so I'd fear that there are safer places to look for inspiration. Not only that, but with the 'elections' so close, who knows what the replacement will do to someone casting a less than golden light on Persian history. Just my thoughts though.

   Edit: And yes, my mental vote is for Viking assassins :) but my real vote went for Rome.

    I'm an Iranian myself and I honestly don't care. I'd rather see something like Battlefield 3 which makes everyone go batshit crazy. And BTW even though Ubi bases a lot of their game's storyline on actual historical events they never dare to exploit them. First Assassin's Creed was a good start in the middle of the crusades and I was engaged and waiting to see where that goes and went absolutely nowhere. So, AC is not my kind of franchise and I certainly give a damn where and when the next installment takes place because it certainly wont matter in any real way.

    To OP,
    Many of the advances were made centuries ago by Indians and Chinese and for many of them, like Zero, Algebra etc. Middle Asian civilizations just acted to spread the message, they were first developed in India.
    First Aryan Civ doesn't mean much. I am an "Aryan", so what? Races mean nothing.
    On venues, largest empire ever, Moghul Empire would be good for setting. Or even Caesar, nor maybe change the whole damn thing and focus on WW1 and 2.

    Denmark was a country before Iran. But Iran was also a country before Denmark. Confused? You should be, i was. The problem here is that what we define as a country today wouldn't make sense to use to define countries say 5000 years ago, since everything including culture, politics even how the planet looks is all different from today. Do you need a government to have a country? Or do you simply need a piece of land where people say "this is Iran/Denmark"? Today obviously you need the land, the government, a population etc. But what about 5-10.000 years ago? Should we apply the same requirements to that time? Honestly i don't think so.

    I'm an Iranian.this time(reign of DarIus) isn't good time for Persian and
    many of Iranian like this game in Reign of Cyrus because he is very good king.Cyrus write first human rights of world I must say, in answer to the Danes Iran is first citizen of world : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iran‎
    and I don't know why they say we don't have good history.
    In prince of persia game ubisoft insult to our religion and if this game Will be like that we dont want assassins creed.

    Iran is rich in history without a doubt undoubtedly , it'd be awesome setting a game relating 2 history of Iran .
    @Persian assassin , don't say " WE "! it's ur opinion not all iranians. POP didn't insult our religion or sth , dunno what makes u think 2 have such kinda thoughts !

    @Gwyn , Care about our history man , its the only thing we can be proud of .i know what u mean , yeah i'd love to see another game like BF3 but the thing is world needs to know how we were great n how we are fucked up now !

    @Mjorh, I could care, but would I? The fact to the matter is what Iranians were 5000 years ago has nothing to do with what they are now. So in fact the history is just history, and we cannot take pride in what happened some 5000 years ago under the fair rule of Cyrus the Great or Darius the Great, we are not part of that history, nor do we represent the culture and traditions of the great Achaemenid Empire.

    We're just poor sods who are in constant conflict with their past and their present, on one hand we boast about our proud history, on the other we represent a completely different culture.

    In many aspects we shared these misfortunes with Scandinavians. They once had a proud heritage and culture, they were proud warriors who valued strength and exhaled in battle. Then came the christianity and forced itself upon them through war, slavery and pillage. Instead of pandering to their proud heritage, they systematically re-invented their culture, they have reduced the influence of the forced culture and religion. They are now the true examples of democracy, freedom and even they succeeded where communism failed.

    So, forgive me if i'm a bit skeptical toward this topic. I simply am not proud of my heritage, because that heritage no longer exists.

    @Mjorh, But in prince of persia they insult our country suppose for
    example:
    prince of persia means : Who will rule over Iran , while all people think it means who was born in Persia. I don't got over it and maybe I'm confused

    And in this your sentence: (don't say "WE") I have to say : I don't know which country are you but if you read history of Iran to find that Iran in that date don't have good status and large parts of the country to the enemy becuse in that date Iran don't have worthy king and many people know it for this I used "WE".
    But in Xerxes 1 time Persian have good country and beautiful arena for this I like the game in this time and in this time many of country are fraternize with each other .The only problem is that it has a very old history.
