Has anyone else tried this?
Had a go other night and relatively impressed. It's really smooth, it's very fast paced and old school (somewhere between q2 and UT2k). As someone who thinks the BF and COD games are an abhorrent scar on the very nature of competitive FPS games, this is a welcome, refreshing change.
Anyway it's free to play the open beta, I recommend giving it a whirl.
I've always liked the work Nadeo pulled with Trackmania and it's sequels. I'll give this one a shot when I get home, thanks for the tip!
Its ok for a while. I like the 'trick' maps. Reminds me of the old 'Bunny-hop' servers I used to play on UT99
Since it is a MANIA franchise, mods will be a go, and hopefully the game will seem even more appealing, although I won't buy until I see some good community projects
