   I seem to have lost my magic,#L2 button.
   I am on the third stage of the first boss fight where you get the sword.
   Not too far in I know but the second fight was tough enough so kinda reluctant to start again.

   Anyway it appears when I press L2 my magic ie the blue orbs doesnt work for some reason and it did earlier on so I was wondering does anybody know could it be a glitch or something or am I doing something wrong.

   Playing it on the PS3 from the collection disc btw.

   Any help would be appreciated.

   Doesnt Kratos drain his magic into the sword at that part? I'm pretty sure thats normal.

   I know my red upgrade orbs drained in to the sword but I thought they were the upgrade ones.
   I am not sure but I thought I lost it during the second part of boss fight.

   I had been playing that bit earlier and got a bit frustrated so put it off and when I tried later it wouldnt work.

   But you have a point so I might go ahead with the third one and see does it come back.

   You lose all your upgrades during that fight. It's the game's way of explaining why Kratos doesn't have all of his GOW1 powers for the rest of the game.

   Sorry for been an ass guys but I just dont know tbh.
   Right I am in the cave where the guy breathes on you so fair enough.
   But I went on to you tube for the chest locations and this guy is there and he has magic and I dont.

   Thanks for the help guys and loving this game but as I said before I am not sure if this is a glitch as I actually started the game again and had magic up until the part where I drained it in to the sword yet when I done the thread it was gone at that stage.

   I am bewildered and probably stupid but anyways I know you guys wont be to hard on me/ :)

   Sorry just like to add that this series is up there with the best imo.
   I never touched it on the ps2 to me it was a button masher, my god how wrong I was it is a very clever game.

   My only disappointment is I have played both 1 and 3 on normal but had to drop it them down to easy on the last boss fight.

   Man ares third phase was impossible on normal yet a breeze on easy.

   It's not a glitch. You don't have any magic when you start that cave level but you do gain your first magical ability (Typhon's Bane) there. So don't fret, before you leave that cave, you'll have magic again :)

   Lol, I like challenges so I would never say a game is disappointing if it's hard. Actually GOW3 was easier than I expected so I was a little bit disappointed by that :p

   Impossible on normal? xD Nonsense! Ares' second phase on God mode, now that's one hard challenge!

   Yeah youre getting new powers soon! I also replayed gow1 and 2. Finished both just yesterday. Fantastic games. Almost flawless. Really among the best of the best. Look great in hd. So glad that the US version of the hd collection runs on european ps3s...i hear you about difficulty though. Same happened to me. Played III on normal and had to switch to easy at the last boss. Made me mad then but now i really try not to let any game stress me. If i struggle i just play an easier mode - i can always replay if i want at some point - but i wont alllow any game to frustrate me anymore...doesnt mean i dont like a challenge though but the times of finishing halo games on legendary or something like that are over for me....

    Glad someone else had it hard like me. :)
    No I didn't mind too much tbh.

    Yeah really great games and I never touched them on the ps2 as I just thought they were button mashers so really glad I eventually got in to them.

    I actually started 2 on hard but went back to start on the second part of first boss and now playing it on normal.

    No problem mate, I've finished the entire series several times in different difficulties so if you run into more problems or need help in other sections, say so and I'll try to help ;)

    And yeah, God Mode isn't for everyone, it's extremely difficult and frustrating, although rewarding if you do like challenges :D

    Haha I knew this was by Reask when I saw the title. Reask you lose your GOD powers at the beginning of the game and don't regain magic back for a while in. Theres no glitch I could have just told you this over PSN if you sent me a message.

    Yup I got a platinum on all God of War games so far. They're so easy. The Challenges are what may give you the most issues. Just watch youtube vids for help if you get stuck. A lot of people have made awesome videos to help people over come a few hurdles in the game.
